The committee would like to thank everyone who turned up from the club to help with the setting up of the site on Thursday afternoon. This was all done relatively quickly and by early evening all was completed and it was time for a relaxing couple of beers before the busy work of running the rally for the next 4 days.
After a busy period of booking people in, Trikefest XV got off to a brilliant start with Paul and the Chaos Roadshow starting the evening's entertainment. Followed by the awesome band Camouflage who really got the crowd going with various tunes from AC/DC to the Bay City Rollers (constantly requested by a group from the S.L.U.T.s!! ).
Saturday dawned with a few hang-overs and RAIN! Lots and lots of RAIN! Although the tea tent did become one of the more popular places to be, the weather didn't dampen the spirits of the rally goers though and by 1pm, people had started lining up their machines for this years custom show. Due to the weather, the rally games were cancelled but Jonno did a stirling job keeping the younger rally goers happy with all kinds of balloon shapes!
The evening started once again with Paul and the Chaos Roadshow leading to the prize giving for this year's rally. Click here for photos of all the prize winners After the prizes were given out, it was time for the evening's main attraction, Dirty DC, an AC/DC tribute band. they certainly got the crowd going with lots of air guitar playing all over the main hall by budding Angus's! After the band the crowd voted on the fancy dress competition. Dress as Angus and get your ticket money back. Or to put it another way, any old excuse for seeing ladies dress as school girls! It worked because there were no male Angus's! Dream!! With midnight approaching it was time for Caroline and three of her colleagues who put on an excellent display of belly dancing, including a routine of dancing on a small drum and balancing a sword on her head!
Sunday arrived, very windy but dry! The rideout was planned by Griff and left the site at midday and headed off to The Cherry Tree at Soham, for their Bike and Bands one day show. The rideout looked very impressive as 30+ trikes left the rally site then onto the A10. The evening came and most people opted for a relaxed chill out either in the disco with Paul or in the back bar taking the micky out of Silverback from Lancashire Trikers! All that was left on Monday was for the remaining party people to pack up, and for us, as a club, to dismantle the site and return it to the leisure centre as a sports field! If you attended this year's rally and would like to make any comments please complete a comments form here (it only takes a couple of minutes!) The committee and club members would like to thank all that attended this year's rally, helping to make it yet another success. Thank you all, Safe Riding!
